MicroPilot’s Premiere Autopilot MP2128^g2 Now Flies Multi-Rotors Drones

Multi-rotor platforms for UAVs can now be flown with MicroPilot’s MP2128^g2 autopilot. The MP2128^g2 is one among many professional autopilots MicroPilot has to offer.

November 29, 2014 - Stony Mountain, Manitoba, Canada – MicroPilot, world leader in designing and manufacturing of professional-grade autopilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), announces new functionality for its MP2128^g2 autopilot. MicroPilot’s premium fixed-wing autopilot becomes MicroPilot’s second multi-rotor capable autopilot. With an industry turning to the advantages of multi-rotor platforms, MicroPilot customers can now harness the power of multi-rotor systems on both MicroPilot’s MP2128^HELI and MP2128^g2 autopilots.

The MP2128^g2 features airspeed and altitude hold, as wells as, turn coordination and GPS navigation. This autopilot solution performs vertical takeoff and landing and autonomous operation from launch to recovery. Additionally, the MP2128^g2 weighs only 24 grams, including sensors and GPS receiver.

The MP2128^g2 is temperature calibrated over a wide range of temperatures, which covers all likely operating scenarios. In addition, the MP2128^g2 is upward compatible with MP2028^g and MP1028^g, as well as, downward compatible with MicroPilot’s MP2128^HELI autopilots. “We’ve been in business for over twenty years designing high-performance autopilots for our loyal customers,” says Howard Loewen, MicroPilot President. “By offering a family of autopilots, we maximize our customer’s flexibility and minimize their learning curve.”

All MicroPilot autopilots are assembled in an ISO9001 certified production facility. What’s more, HORIZON^mp, MicroPilot’s popular ground control station software, is included at no cost with each autopilot. Particularly helpful, HORIZON^mp has version-specific built-in software-in-the-loop simulators for MicroPilot’s entire family of autopilots.
