MicroPilot Releases HORIZONiOS for Open Testing
MicroPilot releases HORIZONiOS, for open testing, enabling customers to use MicroPilot's own GCS on iOS devices.
July 15, 2019 – Stony Mountain, Canada – HORIZONiOS, has now been developed for use with iOS devices, giving customers more options for operating their RPAs using, including Apple tablets.
HORIZON is MicroPilot’s own GCS software. HORIZON allows customers to integrate the MicroPilot autopilot with the RPA, operate the RPA in real-time, and customize mission profiles, all through a user-friendly interface. Having this capability on something as mobile as an electronic tablet helps compliment the mobility and flexibility of most RPAs while providing a wealth of features that a simple R/C controller cannot provide, including autonomous flight.
With the release of HORIZONiOS, MicroPilot customers now have access to greater operational flexibility without sacrificing portability. With a broader range of devices available to them, customers will have more options than ever when it comes to deciding how to operate their RPAS in the field.
