MicroPilot Receives ISO 9001:2000 Certification
December 17, 2008
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's
largest developer and publisher of International Standards. Beginning
in 1947, ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of more
than 150 countries, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland,
that coordinates the system.
MicroPilot has successfully achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification
in the design and production of autopilot and related accessories for
use in small unmanned aerial vehicles. The ISO 9001:2000 certification
is yet another major accomplishment for MicroPilot. Howard Loewen, President
of MicroPilot stated:
- As a company we are very proud of this prestigious designation.
I think we can give ourselves a pat on the back as no other small
UAV Autopilot Company is ISO9001:2000 certified at this time. It
is a testimony to our maturity as a company.
MicroPilot is the world leader in miniature autopilots for unmanned
aerial vehicles (UAV) and micro aerial vehicles (MAV). Weighing only
28 grams, the MP2028g has set the benchmark for MicroPilot’s family
of autopilots and includes the HORIZONmp ground control software. MicroPilot
has been supplying UAV autopilots for 14 years and is now proudly ISO
9001:2000 Certified.
